Edward Charles Pitre, 57, a native and resident of Raceland, died at 7:36 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2013.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial to follow at a later date.
He is survived by his father, Murphy Paul Pitre and wife, Pamela; son, Edward Charles Pitre II; daughter, Erin Pollet; brother, Michael Pitre; sisters, Janet P. Hebert, Connie P. Bourgeois; stepsisters, Samantha Allemand, Sabrina Lassere, Nicole Martin; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine Pitre; and brother, David A. Pitre.
In lieu of flowers, memorial Masses are preferred.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
