Edward Antoine Ledet, 76, a native and lifelong resident of Larose, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 8th, 2021.
Funeral mass services will be held at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church at 11 am on Thursday, May 13th with burial following at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Paulette Falgout Ledet; daughters, Angela Orgeron (Joseph) and Tina Ledet (Yan); grandchildren, Caitlin, Nicolette, and Jenna Orgeron, and Christian and Claire Lovell (Paul); two great-grandchildren, Ella and Drew; sisters, Janice Vega (Woodrow), Joyce Fontenot (Larry), and Sylvia Cheramie (Tommy); and brothers Teddy Ledet (Janell) and Ronald Ledet (Susan).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alice and Joseph Ledet; his brother, Emile Ledet; and his sister, Jeanette Naquin.
Edward was a World Champion duck carver, third-degree member of the Knights of Columbus, and avid birdwatcher and coin collector. He loved flora and fauna of all kinds, antique cars, and oldies music. He enjoyed fishing, going to the beach, telling jokes, teaching his grandchildren about nature, and above all, providing a wonderful life for his loving family.
