Earl A. Dufrene Sr., 86, a native of Larose and resident of Lockport. died Saturday, May 4, 2013.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by son, Earl A. Dufrene Jr. and wife, Mary; daughters, Darlene D.M. Freels and husband, Dennis, and Deborah D. Freeman and husband, Rodney; daughter-in-law, Roxanne Dufrene; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma T. Dufrene; sons, Anthony "Tony" Dufrene and Troy M. Dufrene; parents, Orestile and Justilia O. Dufrene; brothers, Lucian, Fernand, Ambrose, Walter Sr., George Sr., Leon, Gilbert and Ieve "Paul" Dufrene; and sisters, Isabell Price, Margaret Dufrene and Leontine Dufrene.
Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
