Earjie C. Knight, 90, a native and resident of Lockport, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his sons, Courtland Knight and wife, Barbara, Earjie David Knight and wife, Sue, Durwood "Dee" Knight and wife, Theresa "Teede," and Thomas "Tommy" Williams and wife, Sheryl; daughters, Carva Layani, Carmella Champagne and husband, Kenneth, and Katy Stevens and husband, Davis; sister, Oudia Pregeant; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ena Allemand Knight; parents, Ernest and Ella Knight; brothers, Lawrence and Ernest Knight; son-in-law, Jonathan Layani; and grandchild, baby Knight.
He was a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church.
He was a disabled World War II U.S. Army veteran and served in the 75th infantry. He worked as a salesman and retired as a self-employed carpenter. He dedicated his life to God and country, his wife, Ena, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He was a cattleman and an avid farmer.
