Dwight W. Walls

Dwight Walls, 81, of Bayou Gauche, passed away on December 13, 2024. Born on January 18, 1943, in Itta Bena, Mississippi, he was a devoted husband to Janice Dufrene Walls and a loving father to Bridgette Domengeaux, Derryl Walls, Jenelle Logan, and Glenn Walls.

Dad was industrious and dedicated. He spent all his working years until retirement as a millwright, where he was known for his diligence, dependability, and dedication. Despite his many responsibilities, he always made time for his family and church.

Though Dad may not have liked being the center of attention, he deserves to have his long years of fatherly love honored. He was a man of integrity and devotion, and he left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. One of his greatest contributions to his family is the selfless love he modeled for his children in caring for their mother, in providing for them, and in showing them God’s love through correction and care. He was the best of men.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice. He is survived by their daughter, Bridgette, and her husband, Daniel Domengeaux; son, Derryl, and his wife, Tina; daughter, Jenelle, and her husband, Jonathan Logan; son, Glenn, and his wife Karen; grandchildren and spouses, Tori and Royce Jensen, Taylor and Michelle Domengeaux, Kelli and Matthew Finstad, Hailey Walls, Hannah Logan, Payton and Yupheng Vang, Dwight and Deajha Logan, Zachary Walls, Abigail Logan, Shelby Walls, Emily Walls, Rachel and Brennen Allen, Sarah Logan; and great grandchildren, Melah Jensen, Eli Finstad, Jax Domengeaux, Olivia Finstad, Magnolia Jensen, Ella Logan, Isla Domengeaux, Levi and Ezra Logan, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 11:00 am at Life Fellowship Community Church in Bayou Gauche. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.

We find comfort in knowing that Dad's legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
