Dudley Joseph Terrebonne, 86, a native and resident of Cut Off, passed away at 4:48 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. Mass will be held at noon today at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 63 years, Anna Lou Dantin Terrebonne; two sons, Daniel Terrebonne, and Davey Terrebonne and wife Debbie; two daughters, Marlene Terrebonne Griffin and husband, Stephen, and Kathy Terrebonne Pitre and husband, Jerry; five grandchildren, Jackie Griffin Galliano and husband, Eric, Shelly Griffin Bruce and husband, Curtis Jr., Megan Griffin, Derek Pitre and wife, Marie, and Marisa Pitre; six great-grandchildren, Devon, Anna-Claire, Chance, Connor, Christopher and Marcy; and two sisters, Hazel Terrebonne Gremillion and husband, Ernest, and Rena Terrebonne Owen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eumesse A. Terrebonne and Blanche Eymard Terrebonne; and one brother-in-law, Donald Owen.
He was Catholic and a member of the Holy Name Society. His passion was gardening and he was a shrimper by trade.
The family extends their warmest thanks to the supportive medical and nursing staff of St. Joseph Hospice of Thibodaux.
