Drusella “Ki Ki” Lirette Martin, 81, a native of Dulac and resident of Houma for 65 years, received her wings on Monday, August 6, 2018. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She never met a stranger and loved making new friends. Drusella enjoyed going to the casinos, playing bingo, and embroidery.
She is survived by five daughters, Mona Triche (Randy), Deborah Martin, Bernadette Hebert (Ray), Norma Jean Charpentier (Darrell), Brenda Thompson (Gary), brothers, Donald and Douglas Lirette, ten grandchildren, Cobey and Chase Triche, Thomas Jr. and Seth McDonald, Kelly Hebert, Dillion Ham, Megan Loftis, Katie and Katelyn Charpentier, Justin Martin, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, best friend, Lucenda McElroy, her best furry friend, “Jae Jae,” and Brian Fitch, her son she never had. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Wilfred “Bill” Martin, parents, Francis and Josephine Voisin Lirette, and daughter, Cindy Ham.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Falgout Funeral Home of Houma from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. and then again on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church in Bayou Blue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Bayou Blue. Interment will follow at St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery.
