Ake A. "Big Country" Bourg

Drake A. “Big Country” Bourg, 30, a native and resident of Larose passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022.

Visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport on Wednesday, April 6th from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will resume on Thursday, at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Drake is survived by his wife, Nicole Bourg; father, Dean Bourg; mother, Tanya (Brett) Borne; son, Bentley Bourg; daughter, Kenley Bourg; sister, Heather (Craig) Delgrandile; nieces, Kamryn Delgrandile, McKenna Delgrandile, Rilyn Delgrandile, and Sawyer Foret; nephew, Tanner Foret.

Drake was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fergus and Eula Bourg, and Catherine Lefort; aunts, Irma Bourg, Lolita Bourg and Zanya Lefort; uncles, Roy Bourg and David Bourg.

Drake was a strong and gentle giant. He was a one of a kind soul. He lived for his wife, kids, and family. His faith in God kept him strong throughout all his struggles. He loved hunting and most of all fishing. He was a giving soul, who will be missed and never forgotten.
