Keith Patrick Melancon

Dr. Keith Patrick Melancon, MD, 56, a native of Hahnville, LA and a resident of Des Allemands, LA, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2020.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Friday, October 2, 2020 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Luling, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Des Allemands, LA.
He is survived by his wife, Susan L. Melancon; children, Drew Melancon, Dalton Melancon, Ayme Melancon and Zachary Varnum; mother, Jacquelyn Melancon; brothers, Dr. Eric J. Melancon (Karen) and David Melancon (Anndrea) and sisters, Julie Falla (Joe) and Dawn Theriot (Brad).
He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. John Wayne Melancon.
He received his bachelor’s and medical degrees from Louisiana State University. He completed orthopedic residency training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He was a past president of the Mississippi Orthopedic Society. He was a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society, American Association for Hand Surgery, and Medical Group Management Association. He was also a former LSU football player.
In lieu of flowers donations to AO Foundation or Missionaries of Our Mother of the Eucharist is preferred.
