Douglas Jules Plaisance

Douglas Jules Plaisance, 81 a native of Golden Meadow, La. and resident of Raceland, La, passed away on Saturday April 23, 2022 with his loving family near his side.
A private graveside service will be held.
Douglas is survived by his daughters; Julie Plaisance Hebert and Juliette Plaisance Reulet, grandchildren; Brett Hebert (Erin Ockman), Josh Hebert (Madison Hodson), and Douglas Reulet, brothers; Lloyd Plaisance, and Lucien Plaisance, Jr. sisters; Pearl Griffin, Jan Cheramie, and Dianna Callais, fur grandbabies; Jax, Winnie, Mylie, and Dixie.
Douglas was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Judy Robichaux Plaisance, parents; Lucien and Beulah Guidry Plaisance, brothers; Jimmie Plaisance and Robert Plaisance.
Douglas was retired from L & M Bo-Truc, was a former member of the Lafourche Fire Department Company #2, and a former member of the Lafourche Masonic Lodge #427.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Heart of Hospice and his wonderful sitters Kim Martin, Mary Pertuit, and Janet Thibodaux for the wonderful love and care given to Mr. Douglas during his time of need.
