Douglas P. Foret, 80, a native and resident of Raceland, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Falgout Funeral Home and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Raceland. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta Cantrelle Foret; two daughters, Lisa Perrin and wife, Tim, and Paula Theriot and husband, Gerard; brother, Dewey Foret; sister, Mildred Foret; and seven grandchildren, Hunter and Austin Perrin, Claire, Nicholas, and Jacob Theriot, and Kayla and Brennan Pierce.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Clarise Monier Foret; and daughter, Melissa Foret.
He was a parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the American Legion and VFW.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
