Douglas John Bernard, 70, a native of Golden Meadow, La. and a resident of Larose, La. passed away on Saturday June 11, 2016 at 1:50pm with his loving family at his side.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. A memorial Mass will be held at the church starting at 11:00 am with a private burial to be held at a later date.
Mr. Bernard is survived by his wife, Nina Vizier Bernard, son, John Alcide Bernard, brother, Louis Bernard, sisters, Thelma B. Leonard, & Mary Ann B. Pierce.
Mr. Bernard was preceded in death by his parents, Alcide Bernard and Pauline Williams Bernard, brothers, Dudley, Norris, Stanley, Melvin, Charles and Bill Bernard.
