Dorothy "Dot" Martin

Dorothy “Dot” Guidry Martin, 87, a native and resident of Galliano, La. passed away on December 24, 2021 with her loving family at her side.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, December 29th, 2021 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow from 9:00 am until service time. Her Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am with burial following in the Church Cemetery.

Dorothy is survived by her son: Perry Paul Martin; daughter: Lisa Ann Martin; daughter-in-law: Tammy L. Martin; grandchildren: Hal Martin (Ali), Kaitlynn Edwards (Samuel “Boogie”), Katelyn Richard (Gary), Camille Richard; great grandchildren: Laurel Martin, Trinity Edwards, Karmen Oldbear; brothers: Morris “Gro” Guidry, Jr. (Linda) ,Roy Guidry (Olivia “Mae Mae”), and sister-in-law Betty Naquin.

Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband: Leroy Anthony Martin; son; Michael Hal Martin; parents: Morris Guidry, Sr. and Clara Gisclair Guidry; brother: Parrison Guidry (Rosemary “Sis”); sisters: Adele Curole (Johnny), and Maryann Griffin (Charles).

In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude's Children's Hospital would be appreciated.
