Dorothy Duet Cheramie, 91, a native and resident of Galliano, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Ronald (Mary Ann) Cheramie Sr. and Allen (Joy) Cheramie; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alidor Cheramie; her parents, Alcide and Cornelia Duet; son, Donald (Geraldine) Cheramie Sr.; brothers, Harrison and Eunice Duet; sister, Eula D. Gisclair; and half sisters, Barbara D. Comeaux and Linda D. Garret.
Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano is in charge of arrangements.
