Doree Marie Dufrene Lasseigne, 89, a native of Lockport and resident of Galliano passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.
Visitation will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Monday, October 23rd from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in Cheramie Cemetery.
She is survived by her loving husband of 75 years, Arsen J. Lasseigne, Jr.; sons, Mitchell Joseph (Carolyn) Lasseigne, Kevin Joseph (Pamela) Lasseigne, Sr., and Kenny Anthony (Tracy) Lasseigne; daughters, Melanie Lasseigne (Joe) Chiasson, and Lianne Lasseigne (Jeff) White; brother, Elson Dufrene, Sr.; grandchildren, Taylor (Angela) Lasseigne, Parker Lasseigne, Dr. Kevin (Dr. Erin) Lasseigne, Jr., Heather (Randy) Chiasson, Jessica (Nacin) Lejaunie, Kimberly (Seth) Plaisance, Ross Chiasson, Joseph Chiasson, Julia White, and Timothy White; great-grandchildren, Marcel Lasseigne, Jeannette Lasseigne, Lilly Lasseigne, Elliott Lasseigne, Emilia Lasseigne, Mia Chiasson, Benjamin Chiasson, Luke Chiasson, Allie Matherne, Vivian Lejaunie, Lola Lejaunie, Gabriel Plaisance, and Hadley Plaisance.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sewell and Alma Champagne Dufrene; sister, Sue Ellen Dufrene Martin; great-grandchild, Liam Lasseigne.
