Donatien Joseph Danos, 87, a native and resident of St. Charles Community, died Thursday, April 14, 2011.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in St. Charles Community. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial at St. Mary Cemetery in Raceland.
He is survived by his wife, Kate Toups Danos; two sons, Terry P. Danos and Edward A. Danos; two daughters, Catherine Danos Block and Mary Danos Brassette; one brother, Phillip Danos; two sisters, Earline Zeringue and Eloise Bourgeois; and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Lillian Foret Danos; four brothers, Milton, Johnny, Cullen and Harvey Danos; and one sister, Irene Zeringue.
He was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, a member of Farm Bureau Association and a retired sugar-cane farmer.
