Donald "Chopper" James Trahan, 51, a resident of Raceland, died Monday, Nov. 7, 2011 at St. Anne Hospital of Raceland.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland and from 10 a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church in Raceland. Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Rachel Danos Trahan; one son, Wyatt Trahan; one daughter, Shelby Trahan; and one brother, Ronald Trahan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Trahan and Beverly Campbell Trahan.
He was an active medic for the U.S. Army National Guard and Acadian Ambulance.
