Dolores Dufrene Kilchrist

Dolores Dufrene Kilchrist, 89, passed away on July 4, 2021. A native of Paradis, LA, she spent most of her adult life in Lafayette, LA. After the death of her husband, she lived the remainder of her life at Encore Assisted Living in Orlando, FL.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at St. Mary’s Nativity Catholic Church, Raceland, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her three children: Karla Kilchrist Musacchia (Warren), John Kilchrist (Robin), and Mary Kilchrist Jones (Richard); seven grandchildren: Michael Kilchrist (Cynthia); Matthew Musacchia (Elizabeth); Mauri Musacchia Savage (Terry), Myla Kilchrist, Meagan Kilchrist, Emily Jones, and Ellen Jones; one great grandchild: Arryanna Musacchia.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Victor Kilchrist; one son, Victor Michael Kilchrist; her parents Ernest Sr and Bernadette Detillier Dufrene; four siblings: Helen Whittington, Myrtle Naquin, Ernest “Bugs” Dufrene Jr, Alvin Dufrene Sr.
Dolores, also affectionately known as Dee, was a loving wife and mother. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. The family wishes to thank Encore Assisted Living for the care and compassion given to “Momma Dee” and extends their deep gratitude to Monica, Maria, Carla, Lucy, and Raikia.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Our Lady of Wisdom Catholic Church in Lafayette, LA.
