Dolores Plaisance Dufrene

Dolores Plaisance Dufrene, 89, a native of Gheens, LA and a resident of Bayou Gauche, LA, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Life Fellowship Church, Bayou Gauche, LA. Religious services will be at 12:00 pm.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Wiltz; son Craig Dufrene (Cynthia); daughter-in-law, Patsy Dufrene; brother, Earl Plaisance; sister, Margie Plaisance; grandchildren, Malika, Christie, Kimberly, Monisha, Henry, Katrina, Kevin Jr., Dudley and Angelina, 19 great grandchildren and 29 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin J. Dufrene; son, Kevin Dufrene; son-in-law, Henry Wiltz; parents, Lenest and Haddie Plaisance; sister, Mary Schouest; grandson, Joshua Wiltz, great grandson, Trent Byerly and great-great grandson, Lord Renfro.
Dolores enjoyed gardening, playing cards, fishing, traveling, playing Scrabble, going to the casino, bowling, making stuffed crabs, cooking, sewing and hosting gatherings. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
