Diana Hall

d. November 14, 2012

Diana Trahan Milsted Hall, 73, a native of Houma and resident of Athens, Ga., died Wednesday, Nov. 14.

From a young age, Diana showed a strong interest in fashion. While attending Terrebonne High School, she worked for Palais Royal in downtown Houma. Most of her earnings went straight back to Palais Royal, to pay off her constant lay-away of clothing. After attending LSU and Nicholls State University, Diana opened her own clothing store, Diana Trahan's Fashion House. For 26 years, this small business was a popular place for Houma women to shop for fashionable clothing. In addition to her devotion to her business, Diana was a loving mother, wife, sister and friend. She was generous with her time to the American Cancer Society . She was also a member of the Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce. After retirement, Diana lived in River Ridge and New Roads, eventually moving to Athens, Ga. to be near her daughters and grandchildren.

Diana is preceded in death by her parents, May and Randolph Trahan of Houma and her ex-husband Jack Milstead of Athens, Ga. She is survived by her husband, Edward J. Hall of Destrehan; two children, Dana Heil and Renee Milsted; two grandsons, Jack and Eli Heil, all of Athens, as well as sisters Jean Claire Trahan of Warrensburg, Mo., Patricia Watson of Oscar, La., and Dr. Darlene Bassett of New Orleans.

Services will be held Sat. Nov. 24 at Falgout Funeral Home, 211 Westside Blvd. in Houma. Visitation begins at 1 p.m., followed by the service at 2 p.m. Immediately after the service, the family requests all friends and family to join them for an open house at the former location of Diana Trahan's Fashion House at 6688 W. Main Street in Houma. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society .
