Dennis M. Duet, 67, a native of Golden Meadow and a resident of Larose, passed away at 3:50 PM on Friday, October 17, 2014 at his residence.
Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 9 PM on Tuesday at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano and from 10 AM until service time on Wednesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. A funeral mass will be held at 12 PM on Wednesday at Holy Rosary with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Genevieve "Jan" Bruce Duet; children, Troy Duet and Nicole Legendre and husband Reggie; grandchildren, Morgan Guidry and Mason Legendre; siblings, Clyde Duet, Nelda Bell, Lovenia Gros, and Carolyn Autin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clive and Lena Terrebonne Duet and sister, Lorica Cheramie.
He was a retired math teacher who taught in the Lafourche Parish school system for 33 years. He was an avid fisherman and trawler. He will be forever missed by family and friends.
