Demoville "D.J. Collins, Jr., 68, a native of Golden Meadow, LA and a resident of Cut Off, LA, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 9:20 PM at his residence.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Thursday, November 14, 2013 and from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM, Friday, November 15, 2013 at Falgout Funeral Home, Galliano, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cut Off, LA, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Emely Allemand Collins; son, Roddy Collins, Sr.; daughter, Kelly Collins Benoit; brothers, Carroll Collins, Johnny C. Vegas; sisters, Nolda Collins, Dorita C. Bruce, Virgie C. Leonard; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son, Tal Jason Collins; parents, Demoville Collins and Virgie Collins Toups; brothers, Alvin Collins, Cleveland Collins, Joseph Collins; sisters, Amanda Ayzine, Doris Williams, Bertha Borne, Anna Mae Anderson, Alvina Collins, Lucy Collins, Isabelle Collins.
Falgout Funeral Homes in charge of arrangements.
