Davis Plaisance

Davis P. Plaisance, 88, a native and resident of Cut Off, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014.Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. A Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.He is survived by his son, Charles Paul Plaisance and wife, Lisa; daughter, Paula Plaisance Guidry and husband, Keith; stepdaughter-in-law, Janice LeBlanc; grandchildren, Ashley Guidry, Rachel Guidry and companion, Ashley T. Guidry, Gage Gisclair, and Gary Gisclair Jr.; great-grandchildren, Noah and Bentley Guidry, and Abigail Gisclair.He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Rogers Plaisance; stepson, Gary Gisclair Sr.; parents, Charles and Julienne Raymond Plaisance; brother, Eno Plaisance; and sisters, Winnie Plaisance Savoie, Minola Plaisance Badeaux and Bertha Pitre.He loved spending time with his family and working in the yard and garden.
