David Gregory Marcel, 65, a native and resident of Houma, died at 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013.
Visitation will be held Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. with services at 8 p.m. Cremation services will follow.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janet C. Runnels Marcel; two-daughters, Danae and Dena Marcel; four brothers, John and wife, Rusty, Sammy and wife, Darlene, Matthew and wife, Melanie, and Luke and wife, Colleen, Marcel; one sister, Marie and husband, John Morris; brother-in-law, Billy Runnels; numerous nieces and nephews and two grandchildren, Jake Casey and Kadence Radoievici.
He was preceded in death by his parents: I.J. (Duck) and Audrey McMakin Marcel; his mother-in-law: Cecile Runnels; and brother-in-law, Tommy Runnels.
He loved fishing, woodworking and metalworking. He also loved spending much time with family and friends.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
