Darrick Joseph Matherne, age 35, a native and resident of Grand Bayou, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017.
Visitation will be held at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemands, on Tuesday, March 7th from 10:00 am until service time. Mass will be celebrated at the church, Tuesday, starting at 12 noon. A private burial will be held at a later date.
Darrick is survived by his loving wife, Jamie Dufrene Matherne; father, Quinsen P. Matherne (Lisa); mother, Sharon Silvas (Arthur); brother, Nakia Matherne (Angel); half-brother, Darby Matherne (Christine); step-brothers, Ronnie Ranatza (Christelle), Kevin Ranatza (Ashley) and father and mother-in-law, Gregory and Gwen Dufrene Sr.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mary Ann Bergeron and Camille Bergeron and paternal grandparents, Sidney and Aline Matherne.
Falgout Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
