Curren Albert Labat, 91, a native and resident of Raceland, died at 4:54 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church in Raceland. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by two sons, Russell Labat and wife, Donna, and David Labat and wife, Becky; daughter, Denise Movassaghpour and husband, Ali; two sisters, Dorothy Moore and Allie Daniels; and seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hillman Labat and Adele Sevin Labat; four brothers, Dudley, Hillman Jr., George, and Stanley Labat; and sister, Ena Touchard.
He was a parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
