Clothilde "Red" Ledet Trahan, 82, a native of Raceland and a resident of Houma, passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2018.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Monday, May 7, 2018 and from 8:00 am until 10:45 am on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Falgout Funeral Home, Raceland, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Raceland, LA with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Murphy Trahan Sr.; her only son, Daniel Ledet Jr. (Tammy); step sons, Marty Trahan, Murphy Trahan Jr. (Tammy), Meryl Trahan; step daughters, Monica Caro (Jimmie), Meredith Trahan, Mia Poindexter (Oliver); 3 grandchildren Kristie Chauvin (Ryan), Heather Ledet, Laci Ledet (companion, James LeBouef); 4 great grandchildren, Peyton Gravois, Ayden, Callen and Graysen Chauvin; 7 step grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren and sisters, Joyce Hebert (Ronnie) and Ruby Danos.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Daniel Ledet Sr.; parents, Adam and Lucille Hymel; brothers, O'Niel, Archie, Norman, Edgar, Albert "Ba Ba", Herbert Hymel and brother-in-law, Cullen Danos.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
