Clifton J. Lefort, Sr. 81, a native of Golden Meadow and Larose and resident of Larose passed away on Saturday, June 8th, 2024.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, in Larose, on Friday, June 14th from 9:30 am until service time. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Clifton is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years: Merlene Naquin Lefort; children: Clifton “T-Cliff” Lefort, Jr., Serena Bruce (Jad), Charlene Lefort, and Linda Theriot (Eric); grandchildren: Noah, Rae Lynn, Jessie, Laurie (Scott), Desiree (Robert), Jacob (Kortney), Brandon (Regan); great grandchildren: Allie, Natalie, Landon, Callie, Luke, Ezra, Emmett, Jude, Thaddeus, Mathias, Dorcas; siblings: Rafton Lefort, Virgues Sevin; son in law: Ray “Rooster” Ledet; and godchildren: Christine Lefort, Kirk Guidroz, and Shannon Lefort.
Mr. Lefort was preceded in death by his daughter: Karen “DaDa: Ledet; parents: Nola Arceneaux Lefort and Deway Lefort; and siblings: Willis Lefort, Edwin Lefort, Elmire Guidroz, Genevieve “Jan” Adams, Lillie Duet, and Clotile Darbonne.
Clifton loved being outdoors riding his bike and cutting his grass. He enjoyed fishing, loved telling his stories, especially his Botruc ones, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a retired boat captain with L & M Botruc (Cheramie Bros).
