Clifton "Dago" Cologne

Clifton E. “Dago” Cologne, 89, a native of Des Allemands, LA and a resident of Raceland, LA, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, October 1, 2022 a St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Paradis, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Des Allemands, LA.
He is survived by his son, Keith Cologne, Sr. (Debbie); daughters, Marilyn Bush (Doc), Dona Chatagnier (Ralph) and Nicole Thibodaux (Larry); daughter-in-law, Jennifer Cologne; sister, Shirley Bergeron; 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve Fanguy Cologne; son, David Cologne, Sr.; daughter, Carolyn Comardelle; grandchildren, David Cologne, Jr., Kylie Dufrene, Tatum Comardelle and Rafeal Gomez, Jr.; parents, Ernest and Lavina Loupe Cologne and sisters, Irma Plaisance and Virgie Bergeron.
Clifton was a great father, son, and grandfather. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He worked for Local Sixty and he was a commercial crab fisherman. Some of the things he loved was telling stories of his younger days and his crabbing days and going to Amelia Belle.
