Cleveland Yves Billiot, 88, a native of Golden Meadow and a resident of Sulphur, passed away Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at his son's residence after a short illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow with Father Joseph Henry officiating. Burial will follow in Charamie Cemetery under the direction of Samart-Mothe Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Liner Billiot of Sulphur; five children, Alvin Billiot and wife, Stella Jean, of Sulphur, Melva Taylor and husband, Clyde, of Holden, Lovenia Doucette of Picayune, Miss., Daisy Billiot of Cut Off, and Brenda Billiot of Cut Off; two step-daughters: Cathy Billiot of Galliano, and Linda Martinson of Moss Bluff; one brother, Alex Billiot; one sister, Tootsie Terrebonne; 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter and great-granddaughter.
