Claude Prosperie

Claude “Dut” Prosperie, Jr., 67, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018. He was a native of Montegut and a resident of Houma. He is survived by his wife and life partner, Elsie Billiot Prosperie; his children, Doresia “Dory” (Thomas) Talley and Angela (Terry) Porche; eight grandchildren, his siblings, Claudia Prosperie, Elaine (Roland) Pitre, Myron “Black” Prosperie, Wayne “Boo” (Rhonda) Prosperie, Eva (Spencer) Adams and Byran “Coonie” (Mary) Prosperie. He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude Prosperie, Sr. and Theresa Matherne Prosperie; his daughter Mary Prosperie; and his step-son Steven Belanger. Dut was a loving husband, father and friend. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, and all aspects of a bayou life. His sense of humor could lighten anyone’s day. He lived each day to the fullest in hope of a better tomorrow. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
