Claude Joseph Matherne Sr.
January 13, 1933 — October 20, 2018
Claude J. Matherne, Sr., 85, a native and resident of Lockport, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Holy Savior Catholic Church, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Thursday with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his son, Claude “C.J.” Matherne, Jr.; daughters, Linda Matherne, Susan Griffin, Christine Matherne and Cheryl Matherne; brothers, Raymond and Keith Matherne; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren and 12 step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Matherne; parents, Barrios and Annie Matherne; brothers, Kenneth and Glenn Matherne and sister, Evelyn Minchew.
Claude was a member of the Lion’s Club and enjoyed, fishing, hunting and crafts.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
