Clara Mae LeBlanc Chiasson, lifelong resident of Lockport passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017 at the age of 90.
Clara is survived by her sons, Philip Chiasson (Linda), Clyde "Tee" Chiasson (June); daughters, Phyllis C. Hargis (Rudolph), Claudette C. Thibodaux (Eustis), Mary Chiasson, Carol Knight (Pastor Daniel), Louise Chiasson; brother, Gerard LeBlanc; 24 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Chiasson; father Emile LeBlanc; mother, Leah LeBlanc LeBlanc; stepmother, Dolcina Ordoyne LeBlanc; father-in-law, Guy Chiasson; mother-in-law, Josephine Chiasson; brothers, Hayes LeBlanc, Louis LeBlanc, Hanley LeBlanc, George LeBlanc, Wilson LeBlanc, Scuddy LeBlanc; sisters, Daisy LeBlanc, Rowena Hartman, Maude Delaune, Margie Pregeant.
Clara was a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She loved dancing, going to church and spending time with her family.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 10:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport. A Rosary Service will begin at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Holy Savior Catholic Cemetery.
