Clara "Mama Jean" Fitch, 76, a native and resident of Houma, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018.
Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 9 PM on Friday, February 16 and from 8 AM until 10:30 AM on Saturday, February 17 at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM on Saturday at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houma with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Albert Peter Fitch; 4 daughters, Wanda Moore (Dalton), Miriam Oubre (Vernon), Beatle Brown (Susan Jones), Tanya Duplantis (James); brother, John Verdin; 11 grandchildren, Tiffany Moore Lovell, Candace Oubre France, Brandon Oubre, Derrin and Dameon Lapeyrouse, Amanda and Cassandra Brown, Ashley, Jimmie, and Courtney Duplantis, and Za'kyrie; 21 great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Tanna Henry.
She was preceded in death by her son, Guy Trosclair; parents, Enos and Pearly Verdin; brothers, Enos Verdin Jr., Anthony Verdin, and Roy Trosclair; sisters, Inez Parfait, Eva Fitch, Shirley Landry, and Juanita Fitch.
