Cindy Pomacino Autin

Cindy Pomacino Autin, a native of Barataria, LA and a longtime resident of Des Allemands, LA, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, November 11, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Paradis, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in Des Allemands Mennonite Cemetery.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Vince Autin, Sr.; three loving children, Vince Autin, Jr. (Angel), Lacey Autin Schaubhut (Evan) and Roy Alfred Comardelle, Jr. (Missy); grandchildren, Logan Michael Autin, Landon Joseph Autin and Sawyer Kathryn Schaubhut; and brother, John Pomacino.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Vibiano Pomacino and Henrietta Palarango Velargo; siblings, Jamie Pomacino and Anna Alexie; grandparents, Santiago Pomacino (Chago) and Annie Palarango Pomacino.

Cindy and her husband Vince Autin, Sr., were the owners of Vince’s Auto Parts and Repair, a St. Charles Parish staple for 35 years, which serviced our local law enforcement fleet, parish and plant truck fleets as well as EMS ambulances and first responder vehicles.

She had a deep devotion and love for spending time with her grandbabies. She enjoyed her local weekend night life, which almost always included a night full of Karaoke, dancing and friends who are more like family. Cindy never met a stranger and was loved by all that knew her. Cindy enjoyed everything and everyone in her short 64 years of life. Someone who was full on life, love, and light was taken from us too soon. She will be missed severely by all those who loved her.
