Chester Anthony Melancon

Chester A. Melancon, 88, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at his home. He was a native of the Cut Off community and was a resident of Lockport for 41 years. He is survived by his wife, Mary Melancon, daughter, Cheryl Melancon, brother, Loyman Melancon, grandchildren, Blake-Jamie, Ryan-Erin, great grandchildren, Brittany, Rileigh, Carson and great-great granddaughter, Rowen. He was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Melancon, father, Jules Melancon, mother, Odele Melancon, brother, Raymond Melancon, sisters, Linda Thibodaux, Doris Pete, nephews, Glenn Melancon, Ricky Thibodaux and Scott Pete.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church following the visitation. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
