Charley A. Redmond, Sr., 99, a native of Pointe Aux Chenes and a resident of Bourg, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at St. Ann Catholic Church, Bourg, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 pm Wednesday with burial to follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Houma, LA.
He is survived by his wife, Flavia Crochet Redmond; children, Earline Lajaunie (Bob), Russell Redmond (Linda), Reggie Redmond Sr. (Jackie), Clara Redmond, Keith Redmond Sr. (Mary Ann), Angela Guidry (Tommy), and Kathryn McElroy (Bryan); 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Enos Sr. and Angelle Bourg Redmond; son, Charley Redmond Jr.; grandson, Chris Lajaunie; brothers, James, Enos Jr. and John Redmond and sisters, Malvina McElroy and Kate Redmond.
Charley was a World War II Army Veteran, member of the VFW, American Legion, United Veterans League, Lion's Club and Woodmen of the World.
