CORNWELL Charles "Charlie" Murray Cornwell, Sr. passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 9:02 a.m. in Des Allemands, LA. Beloved husband of Mary Frances Cornwell. Father of Grover Dean Cornwell, Billy Earl Cornwell, Ben Harley Cornwell, Robert Nelson Cornwell, Margaret Jean Tipton, Frances Ann Ponge and the late Charles Murray Cornwell, Jr. Son of the late Grover Gilbert Cornwell and Bessie H. Cornwell. Brother of Roy Cornwell, Corabelle Cortez, the late John Cornwell, Grover Gilbert Cornwell II, Marguerite Stephens and Sarah Roberts. Also survived by 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. A native of Decatur, AL and a resident of Des Allemands, LA. Age 91 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. Religious Services on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Des Allemands Mennonite Church. Interment Mennonite Cemetery. Visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, June 18, 2012 and from 8:00 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday, June 19th at Des Allemands Mennonite Church.
