Celine Folse Dempster, 88, a native and resident of Des Allemands, died on Saturday, September 20, 2014.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until service time on Wednesday at St. Gertrude Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at St. Gertrude with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Burt Dempster and wife Janet; Curtis Dempster, Terry Dempster, and Kenneth Dempster and wife Cindy; brother, Jerry Dempster; sisters, Una F. Vanacor and Azalie F. Guilliot; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Dempster Sr.; son, John "Johnny" Dempster Jr.; parents, Gustave and Celine Matherne Folse; brothers, Alexie, Lawrence, Sidney, Theodore, and Paul Folse; sister, Nazie F. Amedee; and one grandson.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
