Celestin Joseph Dempster, 92, a native and resident of Des Allemands, LA passed away on Monday, September 16, 2013 in Luling, LA.
Visitation will be from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Hahnville, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Wednesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with burial to follow in Sunset Cemetery, Bayou Gauche, LA.
He is survived by his sons, C.J., and Marvin Dempster; daughter, Diana Ledet; step sons, Irvin and David Granier; step daughters, Adeline Foster and Loretta Landry; brother, Jerry Dempster; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lillian Bourgeois Dempster; his second wife, Sidonia Granier Dempster; son Kane Dempster; daughter, Sarah Dempster, step daughter, Eleanor Matherne; parents, Joseph and Bertilia Matherne Dempster; brothers, Gracian, Horace, Gillis, Morris, Tex, Antoine Dempster; sisters Marie Rome and Lucie Dasche; and two grandchildren.
