Cecil Carmen Brashear, Jr., age 53, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 8:25 a.m. He was a native and resident of Houma, LA
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until a liturgy of the Word at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be held in Garden of Memories in Gray, LA.
Cecil is survived by his wife of 10 years, Courtney Knight Brashear; mother, Nellie Toups Brashear; mother-in-law, Winona V. Knight; sons, Blazz (Kristina) Brashear, Lani (Dakota) Knight; daughter, Chelsea R. (John Pierre) Chauvin; brothers, Ruben (Paulette) Gautreaux, Tony (Maria) Gautreaux, and Bobby Brashear; sister, Tammy Brashear; brothers-in-law, Allen (Wendy) Knight, and Jody Knight; sister-in-law, Lisa (Brian) Whitney; and grandchildren, Carter, Kassidy, Tyton, Cheyenne, Savanna, Gracie, and Jean-Luke.
Cecil was preceded in death by his father, Cecil C. Brashear, Sr.; father-in-law, Allen J. Knight, Sr.; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Cecil loved spending time with family and friends, motorcycle rides on smooth highways, and his grandchildren. We will miss his calm and patient spirit dearly.
