Catherine Pitre Serigny

Catherine Pitre Serigny, a native and resident of Galliano, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021.

Visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Home, of Galliano, on Thursday, July 8th from 9 am until service time. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11 am with burial to be held at a later date.

Catherine is survived by her daughter, Kelly Serigny Falgout; 2 granddaughters, Kelsi Serigny and Malaina Falgout; siblings, Edward “Joe” Pitre (Deborah) and Ethel Pitre Vega (Craig); nieces and nephews, Scott and Chris Pizani, Jessica and Rebecca Pitre and Chad, David and Nicholas Vega.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eusebe Pitre and Irene Punch Pitre Savoie; sister, Faye Pizani; sister in law, Mary Jane Pitre and brother in law, Calvin Pizani.

Catherine loved spending time with her family and friends and her eyes lit up when she saw her grand daughters. She loved playing bingo and going to the casino. She enjoyed cooking. She was employed with L&M bo-truc for 30 years before retiring.
