Catherine A. Boudreaux, 91, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family at 10:35 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2022. She was a native of Bourg, LA and a resident of Cut Off, LA.
She is survived by her two sons, Barry James Boudreaux and Arthur “Art” Boudreaux (Patty); one daughter, Monique Nicole Boudreaux; grandchildren, Melissa Boudreaux Naquin (Andy), Haley Boudreaux Montez (Aaron) and Michael Braud Boudreaux; great-grandchildren, Adeline Naquin, Alyse Naquin, Reece Montez, Andrew Naquin, Quinn Montez and Wyatt Montez; siblings, Dr. Donald Ayo, O’Neal “Butch” Bascle, Jr., Margaret “Peggy Ann” Bouquet, Jean Claire LeBouef and Debbie Borel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Anthony Boudreaux; sons, Michael Terry Boudreaux and Guy Matthew Boudreaux; parents, Randolph “R.J.” and Sylvia Rogers Ayo and O’Neal “Peggy” Bascle, Sr.; siblings, Mae Ayo Hitt, Gerald Ayo, Sr. and Carley Walker.
Catherine, also known as Maw Bunny to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, enjoyed life to the fullest, and filled her days with giving of herself to anyone in need. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Deacon Sam’s Bible Study, Catholic Community Center (CCC), Sacred Heart Catholic Church Eucharistic Minister and Take of Pounds Sensibly (TOPS). Many people knew her from her years as manager of Mr. Cook, where she was serving her community with a smile. Of all the blessings in her life, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the greatest, along with her children.
She was deeply loved by her family and will be greatly missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know her.
Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Thursday, June 2nd from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. and laid to rest in the church cemetery.
