Carrie Cheramie, 83, a homemaker, a native of Cut Off and resident of Houma died on Friday, Aug. 24, 2012 at 6:04 p.m. at the Oaks in Houma.
Visitation will commence on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum.
She is survived by her son, Jody Patrick Cheramie, two daughters; Phyllis A. Boudreaux and husband Gerrieth Boudreaux, Sandra J. Plaisance and husband Glenn Plaisance, daughter-in-law; Michelle Fields Cheramie, son-in-law; Tommy Eymard, one sister; Bernice Cheramie, eight grandchildren; Karey Boudreaux and wife Hannah, Lanie Roberts and husband Robin, Jamie Stazak and husband Christopher, Sr., Tara Plaisance and fiancé Cole Matherne, Elizableth Cheramie, Cameron Cheramie, Nicole Eymard, and Dr. Corey Eymard, four great-grandchildren; John Melancon, Hannah Staszak, Christopher Staszak, Jr., and Lucy Roberts.
She was preceded in death by; her husband; Ralphton J. Cheramie, her parents; Edwin Terrebonne and Macy Pierce Terrebonne Orgeron, one daughter; Mona Eymard, two brothers; Alvin Terrebonne and Edwin Terrebonne, Jr., one sister; Lois Constransitch, and one grandchild; Tatum Melancon.
Carrie was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies Altar Society.
