Carol C. Matherne

Carol Crotwell Matherne, 80, a resident of Slidell, LA, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024.

Visitation will be held at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church, in Raceland, LA, on Monday, September 9th from 9:00 am until 11:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 am with graveside services to follow in St. Mary Cemetery.

Carol is survived by her children, Cynthia Gadonneix (Chris), Kenneth Matherne (Danielle); 5 grandchildren, Eric Gadonneix, David Gadonneix, Tyler Matherne, Cody Matherne and Melinda Batson (Jeremy Sr.); 2 great-grandchildren, Emma Batson and Jeremy Batson Jr. and sister, Deborah Ryan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold J. Matherne Jr.; daughter, Lisa M. Duffy; parents, Rayborn and Marie F. Crotwell and sister, Elaine Horne.

In lieu of flowers, donations to MD Anderson Cancer Center are preferred.
