Carl served his country proudly for two years in the United States Army during World War II. After graduating from Louisiana State University with a degree in Agricultural Engineering, he worked for the Louisiana Soil Conservation Department in the River Parishes. He was then employed by American Cyanamid Chemical Company, as an engineer and chief draftsman, where he retired after 40 years of service.

Carl was born in Raceland, Louisiana and resided in St. Charles Parish for 65 years. He was very much involved in his community. Carl designed many of the homes in Mimosa Park and Willowdale Country Club. He was one of the founding members of Mimosa Swim and Racquet Club and designed its facilities. He also served on the design committee for the current St. Anthony Catholic Church in Luling, Louisiana. After retirement, he donated his time to Destrehan Plantation and loved every minute of it.

Our Dad truly loved New Orleans, Grand Isle, Mardi Gras, LSU Football Hahnville High School Football and the New Orleans Saints. He was always happy to take his children, their cousins and friends to experience the many activities our
city and state has to offer. Dad will be fondly remembered and missed by many relatives and friends.

Carl's family would like to extent a special thank you to the employees of Ashton Manor where he resided for the past five years. He certainly loved each and everyone of the employees (all of his "Sweet Peas").

Carl's family requests that donations be made to Holy Family Catholic Church, 155 Holy Family Lane, Luling, Louisiana 70070 in memory of Carl.
