Brian “Cooter” D. Hebert, Sr., 71, a native of Choctaw and resident of Raceland, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.
Visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Home, in Raceland, on Friday, June 7th from 10 am until service time. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon with burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
Brian is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary Petrolia Hebert; son, Brian D. Hebert Jr. (Elizabeth); step-children, David Breaux (Linda), Jerry Truxillo Jr., Nathan Truxillo Sr. (Tiffany) and Cheryl Truxillo; granddaughter, Katlyn Hebert and 15 grandchildren; great-grandchild, Karter Foret and 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Shyen Hebert Sr., Wayne Hebert and Timothy Hebert.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Delaune Hebert and Melodia Tabor; sisters, Carolyn Ordoyne, Kathleen Borne and Patty Jean Ledet; in-laws, Sam Petrolia and Evelyn Tastet and step-son, Lonnie Truxillo.
Brian was a truck driver by trade and enjoyed traveling.
