Bobbie Joseph Dantin, age 91, died at 2:45 AM Thursday, August 29, 2013. He was a native and long time resident of Raceland and current resident of Houma.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM Saturday, August 31, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Raceland, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his children, Bob Dantin and wife Janice, Brenda McKey and husband Allen and Kirk Dantin and wife Rhonda; grandchildren Jeremy Dantin and wife Suzanne, Taylor Dantin, Reese Dantin and Claire, Dantin; great grandchildren, R.J., Harrison, Andrew and Ansley Dantin.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Loupe Dantin; parents, Wilfred and Celeme' Dantin; brothers, Bruce and Jules Dantin; sisters, Mabel Bourgeois, Vivian Adams, Clothilde Maureaux, Jeannette Daigle, Juliette Chaisson, Bernice Dantin and Della Margiotta.
Bobbie was a veteran of World War II and was a member of VFW Post 3665. He had a passion for the outdoors but loved and protected his family most of all. He will be dearly missed always.
