Bill Sullivan, 77, a native of Houma and resident of Mount Olive, Miss., lost his battle with cancer peacefully at 8:59 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7:30 p.m. today at First Baptist Church, 7382 W. Main St. in Houma and from 1 p.m. to funeral time Wednesday at New Sardis Baptist Church, County Road 40 in Mize, Miss. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Alma; three daughters, Paige, Pennie and Peggy; three sons-in-law, Jeff, Lee and Ross; seven grandchildren, Jaimee, Anna, Jesse, Becky, Russel, Gabrielle and Annabelle; seven great-grandchildren, Ellison, Cordelia, Dillon, Bryce, Alyssa, Conner and Nathaniel; one younger brother, Don; and two sisters-in-law, Jessie and Grace.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Lydie; and one older brother, Joe.
Bill was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, a family man, an avid sportsman and a member of University of Southern Mississippi Hall of Fame.
