Betty Ann Labit Steele, 65, a native and resident of Houma, died at 2:04 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Falgout Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by her son, Craig and wife, Kim Steele; daughter, Karen and husband, John Detwiler; grandchildren, Brandon Babin and fiancee, Amber Dumond, Katie Babin, Thomas Detwiler, and Sarah and Madison Steele; great-grandson, Hunter Babin; five brothers, Ralph, Roy, Francis, Philip, and Larry Labit; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon P. Labit Sr. and Marie Dubois Labit Breaux; four brothers, Davis, Joseph, Leon Jr., and Johnny Labit; and sister, Gloria Gaston.
She enjoyed playing cards, watching Saints games and loved her grandchildren. She was a lifetime member of Veteran's Park Inc.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
